A RAMBLING FARMHOUSE

PAST AND PRESENT

La Ferrandiere was originally the local "BlackSmith's."

THE HOUSE IS NOT A HOTEL but it is restored to a comfortable, sunny, quiet and peaceful place.   You can enjoy the quiet corners or join in the activities.

The private gardens and grounds are abundant with seasonal fruits.  Peach, Fig, Blackberries, yellow and red cherry trees. Walnuts and roasting chestnuts. Sloes for that Christmas Gin.....enjoy the garden ( You can sit in the VINTAGE HORSE BOX which is used as a little get away, with its own mini kitchen and table space, sofa and bed - A perfect reading space.)

Camp fires, ghost stories and cooking from scratch and foraging seems to be popular if you do not want to go anywhere - Thats ok.

In the house - Upstairs is a separate loo and a bathroom. On the ground floor is a walk in shower , with sink and loo. There are two double bedrooms for guests/Students.

The kitchen is basic but well equiped. Many memorable meals have been created and eaten from it.

Storage / utility room with washing machine.

The back door of the house opens in an old barn adjoining the house which  is now the Games room with a large pool table and table soccer. There are a number of fully serviced push bikes for use of visitors to explore the surrounding lanes and villages.

There is a resident dog who sleeps a lot and several free range chickens.
